Pueraria Mirifica
Also known as Kwao Krua Kao (White Kwao Krua)
Origin: Known in Thailand as Kwao Krua Kao, or White Kwao Krua, Pueraria Mirifica is a climbing vine native to the mountainous forests of northern and northeastern Thailand. Thai herbal tradition distinguishes it from its red and black Kwao Krua relatives, and local herbalists have long prepared its tuber as part of body-care rituals passed down through generations, often from mothers to daughters. Its cultural and botanical significance is recognized and protected by the Thai government today.
